How would they buy thousands of copies? Gifting probably wouldn't work because eventually people would realize something's up, and it'd be a hassle to order thousands of copies offline. Not to mention they'd have a room filled with their own albums at home.
And if each album was $10 for example, it would cost over a million dollars just for 100,000 copies. It doesn't seem worth it to me.
