It really makes quite a big difference to hear "Eyes Open" in HQ. It sounds so much more, idk, orgasmic i guess? If this gets released individually to Itunes (not just soundtrack album) i am 100% sure it will fly to the top in no time.
No one is saying Ours is actually BETTER than Sparks Fly
but Ours did better on charts , Digitally and soon even in Radio
Sparks Fly is better than Ours , but they didn't handle it well
Ours seems like it attracts more people?
maybe because of it's simple production and heavy writing? I don't know
They should send SF to pop...
I think that maybe Ours is atraccting more people, because both of them were country singles, but ours is more country than SF

I get it now (finally), I didn't know that the "general public" factor affects Taylor before. But really, SF & TSOU, even ITWAM is way better than Ours.
The Taylor Connect (moderator Jordan) now accepts personal message queries, will we find an answer to why didn't they released SF to mainstream and other formats?

They put an add date on august but thet cancelled it, that's what I hate the most, when it happened i thought that they were waiting for it to climb more in country to release it on pop, and I was agree with that..
But at the end they didn't release it, I still can't believe it

I don't think that it'll happen but it would be awesome tho ..
They would have to shoot a new music video though .. a big music video affects the sales too

And yeah on fmqb if I'm not mistaken, Sparks Fly was supposed to be added on Top 40 on July 19, then it got deleted. I also thought that way, like what Lady Antebellum did with Just a Kiss. sigh I hope there's a Sparks Fly-esque track on album #4 to help me get over this rant.
Anyway, I literally stopped breathing when I saw this. And this became a big buzz that let Taylor climbed that popularity chart on Billboard:

I think part of the reason they pulled Sparks Fly before it got sent to top 40/ pop radio is because they're trying to establish a more country image for Taylor; Mean was purely country, Sparks Fly ended up being country only, and Ours is purely country... We'll see if this continues in the future.
Just as well, I'd rather have Taylor not sending singles to pop radio than sending singles that get slaughtered by Adele and the like. No singles on pop radio >>> flop singles on pop radio (TSOU).
On a similar note, I was upset that Back To December didn't get Record/ Song of the Year nominations at the Grammys, but she would've lost to Adele even if she had been nominated... So I'm not too bothered.
All of the mainstream and pop girls have been hurt by Adele, but Taylor has remained unbothered while dominating her country niche.
Back from a guitar forum. So, more and more people were discussing the rumour of her signature Les Paul. Rumour first out last year.
Do you think if it's true, will she release it just like when she released the wax statue? During the album promo month.
The guitar for sure would be a killer one, it's Gibson Les Paul. One of the best pro electric guitars. It may gonna looked like the one she uses at the tour. With the reviews from the music publications, pretty sure the musicians would jump on the album #4 too. The amount of respect she will get from fellow musicians. Sounds like a killer marketing plan.
