I hate the fact Gaga's music is so forgotten as of present. Like she REALLY needs to serve next era.
If she continually declines she won't end up a fad like people try to make her out, since her impact on Pop Culture has been huge but unfortunately, I do see her career winding out like Xtina with all her hits being forgotten + her being barely remembered, and on a judging show or some ****.
Im guessing y'all don't listen to the radio often or live in the New York Metro area because I hear WFL and DSTM EVERY Friday on the after work mix and mid day on our HOT AC channel 103.5. Out of all her "classics" I honestly hear Diamonds the least on radio, maybe due to the fact that its her most recent. I hear Umbrella a lot on Power 105. Thats like their only Rih Pop song they play, because they kinda hate her.
Oh wait Deem, I live in your area and you're right. "Don't Stop the Music" is still on the air heavy! Is it a classic? Idk.

She could use that acclaim she has been receiving to her advantage or she could just become a tribute act with a few hits here and there.

@Cap10 yes, when Janet does it
DSTM, for me, IS. Because its her most played song on Pop radio every year (after WFL) recurrent wise. Shoulda been a #1.

I really hope Gaga comes back strong next era because as much as I enjoyed her flopping, I actually want her back because i respect her talent and I used to LOVE her music. Plus I like ATRL when all the major pop girls are slaying. It encourages stans to be more creative with their drags. 2011 ATRL >>
I've never been one to say someone will have huge success the following era, but honestly I just can't see Gaga's career 'ending' this early.
She's had too much of an impact on recent Pop Culture, has such a dedicated following, and she's too immensely talented and acclaimed. I just can't see it ending now.

She won't end cold turkey but she will just gradually decline. I mean she's pushing 30. 35 is the dead end for Female Pop artists unless you are like a Madonna. So she has 2 more eras to prove herself.
Speaking of ATRL rivalries at a peak if it somehow gets to a point where Katy underperforms next era, and Gaga is towards her level / ahead, ATRL will not survive.
It's just too far out between the 2 fanbases, and the Monsters would just never let go of what they went through in 2013. & you know Gaga is the type if she comes back PUNCHING is always gonna say in interviews 'You know, they tried to say I was over in 2013 and that Katy Perry ended me'.
Then we stick a fork in her. I mean she's already created alternate routes for herself. Jazz and becoming a TV actress. So at least she's being proactive.
That's why I said 'if Katy underperforms/flops'. It's more than granted everyone on ATRL is expecting Gaga to decline more than rise. But if Katy goes down with her and they are ever at the same level / Gaga is even remotely ahead, then Monsters are gonna go crazy.
I mean even if Katy underperformed and Gaga had a similar era to ARTPOP they wouldn't really be apart. Let's not forget PRISM sold what, 25K more than ARTPOP first week? ARTPOP also outsold it WW first week.
If Katy has 'an ARTPOP era' she will really be struggling, if her post-Teenage Dream boost is next to Gaga's underperformance. Katy is in her 30's, and is trying to change musically, which makes it all the more interesting + possible.

Katy did end Gaga though. I mean the Superbowl solidified that. White America isn't gonna give up their safe family friendly cookie cutter Katy Perry for Lady Gaga. They just won't no matter how talented she is.

This board is childish. Anyone who flops will get dragged.
If Katy flopped, the media won't tear her to pieces like they did Gaga during her down period. Probably because Katy is extremely safe and 'cute.' So many people have come and gone, so I'm not betting on longevity for either one of them. They are both so of their time.
