I too am struggling to find what the nurses and the Murde (though it was shown in the preview so maybe this is just preemptive) have to do with anything at the moment.

I just really wish Cricket narrated the flashback a bit to keep in the same style as the film they found last episode. It would have created a more cohesive scene. My problem is that we were just thrown back into the 1600s with no real warning so it was a little more contrasting than it needed to be.

Cricket slayed so much

This episode focused on the two best things about the season: Lee and Kathy.

It managed to be scary, without a bunch of nonsensical jump scares.

It managed to induce dread without super-obvious cues like music or the aforementioned jump scares.

It managed to move the plot, something the first 2 episodes didn't do at all.

It was fantastic.

But my critiques about the first 2 episodes (especially last week's NONE-EVENT 41 minute filler) remain valid.

Let's hope the rest of the season is like this episode.

I think looking back on it, episode 1 and 2 could have been combined into a 90 minute special for opening night so they could progress through the plot a lot easier and still have the background needed for everything later in the season to make sense.

Shelby is so confusing she believes in ghosts yet when her husband ****ing a ghost she becomes petty. She wants to leave until Matt wants to leave then she wants to stay. Bitch stop being a ****ing katy perry song and make up your mind. Ugh I can't wait for her to die off.

And last two episodes are still quality and great. I mean part of a story that is necessary is exposition and rising action which is still occuring in these episodes as we still have many gaps left but of course people just want to skip to the climax to get off rather than enjoy the foreplay.
