Progress has the title of best-selling album of 2010 sewn up, but there’s jockeying for positions behind it. Lady GaGa’s The Fame rises 51-46 on the weekly list, with sales of 15,074 copies, while Michael Buble’s Crazy Love falls 2-3 (138,912 sales). Both top the million sales mark for 2010 – but Buble’s album leapfrogs GaGa’s with year to date sales of 1,039,675 against its rival’s 1,012,057. These are the positions they will hold at the end of the year, reversing their year-end 2009 placings. GaGa’s album still has the edge overall, with career sales of 2,401,021 against Buble’s 2,237,096.
GaGa being trumped by lessor gorls....
Bitches will get cut.

Cardle holding strong
11:10 | Tuesday December 21, 2010
The race for the Christmas number one single may be over for this year, but last-minute gift-buyers are giving the albums market a huge boost in the final days before the festive break.
Early retail reports indicate sales of Take That¹s Progress passed the 90,000 mark over the last two days. This tally pushes sales of the album, already 2010¹s biggest-seller, beyond the 1.5m mark after less than six weeks at retail.
Another beneficiary of the last-minute rush is Michael Buble, whose Reprise-released Crazy Love is selling 40% more copies than at this stage last week and is likely to remain in the top three of 2010’s final albums chart, below Rihanna’s Loud.
After getting off to a slow start last week, Michael Jackson’s Epic- and posthumous-released Michael continues to under-perform: it is destined course to slip out of the albums top five this Sunday with sales plummeting by more than 50% week-on-week.
In the singles chart, X Factor winner Matt Cardle’s When We Collide looks certain to retain the number one spot after outselling its nearest rival by a margin of three to one.
And although she might miss out on a number one debut, Katy B feat. Ms Dynamite’s Lights On (Columbia) is on course for an impressive showing at number two, ahead of Rihanna feat. Drake¹s What’s My Name (Def Jam), Black Eyed Peas’ The Time (Dirty Bit) (Interscope) and Ellie Goulding’s Your Song (Polydor).
In a depressed week for single sales overall, the only tracks to post week-on-week rises in chart’s upper reaches ¬ (bar Katy B and Ms Dynamite’s sole new entry) are The Pogues feat. Kirsty MacColl’s Fairytale Of New York and Tinie Tempah feat. Kelly Rowland’s Invincible, which is poised to return to the top 20

Can Katy B topple Matt Cardle?
Thought there mightn't be any chart action this week because of the imminent arrival of Saint Nick? Think again!
•Matt Cardle's on course to make it two weeks on top with his X Factor Winner's Single/Biffy Clyro cover 'When We Collide'.
•Katy B and Ms Dynamite are right behind with 'Lights On', with Rihanna and Drake's 'What's My Name?', Black Eyed Peas' 'The Time (Dirty Bit)' and Ellie Goulding's 'Your Song' completing the top five.
•Tinie Tempah and Kelly Rowland's 'Invincible' has cracked the top 20, while Cheryl Cole's 'The Flood' has inched a couple of places into the top 40.
•Over on the albums chart, Take That's Progress is still on top, having now racked up sales in excess of 1.5 million.
•Rihanna's Loud is immediately behind, with Michael Bublé's Crazy Love at three and Michael Jackson's Michael just outside the top five.

Yesterday was Rihanna's best day's sales in the UK ever.
She's now 16.6% ahead of where she was this time last week.
which means that she can match last week's sales or even better.... (even with one less day of sales this week)

no no... This week it has 1 day less of sales (saturday its holiday in the UK -almost everywhere- so the sales this week are from monday o friday (well... of course there is the digital sales from saturday too... but I dont think they will be as relevant).
I think she can match last week's number... or even climb a bit this week
