I think Lady Gaga isn't a Singles-artist anymore. I think she's right now an album-artist. Her albums were selling very good (TF, TFM, BTW). Her singles are a succes but nog like Poker Face, Bad Romance anymore.

DWUW has cross genre appeal that those don't have, TEOG is close though.
As for another post above, if she flops with ArtPop it is likely you won't see her on tour close to you, so yes I'd rather she avoided to flop. But it's not likely to happen as the album sounds great so far (I'm just not here for Aura or Dope if it's similar to the "cheesier than me you die" aka "IWBWY" )

I honestly doubt about the tour thing. People will flock to see her live as long as she has hardcore fans.

and i think it's a way more powerful and attractive thing to be applauded for the body of your work rather than a song or 3 that were obviously meant as selling points amidst a pool of filler.
Well having singles succeed keep you relevent in a way and manages to extend your stanbase, especially on the pop scene. So yes I hope she has successful singles in the future, Alejandro/Telpehone sized hits at least, not talking about Poker Face/Bad Romance ones which rarely happen in a career.
