I'm sorry but what exactly is a Banshee in this show? I need some clarifying.
The banshee (/ˈbænʃiː/ ban-shee), from Irish: bean sí [bʲæn ˈʃiː] ("woman of the sídhe" or "woman of the fairy mounds") is a female spirit in Irish mythology, usually seen as an omen of death and a messenger from the Otherworld.
In legend, a banshee is a fairy woman who begins to wail if someone is about to die. In Scottish Gaelic mythology, she is known as the bean sìth or bean-nighe and is seen washing the bloodstained clothes or armour of those who are about to die.
She is the girl Derek loved in high school. Remember when they said that Derek dumped her slashed body in the woods. At the end, Papa Stilinski says something about him finding a dead body in the woods.
And **** this EP nearly gave me a damned anxiety attack! I was at the edge of my seat, hands all sweaty, biting my lips screaming "OMG OMG OMG"
Also I figured Lydia was a banshee when she screamed in the classroom after she wrote the 2 on the board.
I started the first season yesterday and I wasn't expecting that, I love it! should have started it before I'm already in the episode 8.

The 1st two seasons are not really good but the 3rd season (current one) is freaking amazing Don't give up on the show if you don't like season 1 and 2
