Nicki can call her price for a verse like that where the artist has no real connection to her. I'm sure Scooter paid out of pocket to get Nicki on that Carly remix meanwhile, French probably paid nothing for Freaks.
I'm going to be completely honest when I say I was not impressed in the least bit by the verse. I’ve heard Nicki do this before. Yes, it's exceptional but it’s been done all 2013. I’m still waiting for next level from Nicki. She's starting to plateau to me in talent. Sure, it's a high level but can it be better? Who's to truly say.
All I can say is that it's great the Urban community is seeing her talent once again and I hope the promo/buzz single is leagues better than what we've been hearing.
(Inb4 someone says "Nicki's own music is going to be better than her features". Monster is still one of her strongest and it was just a feature.)
