I'm not much of a fan of Frank Luntz, but he knows how this stuff works. In another tweet, he noted that IBD/TIPP had Romney ahead of Obama by five points a month before the election -- which again was BS.
This habit of 'reversion' as some call it has been documented as well by Nate Silver, who noted there are a number of polls out there that appear to be the proverbial tail wagging the dog -- that is, trying to drive polling trajectory rather than simply reporting on what it actually is, then at the last minute they do a proper analysis and voila, they suddenly seem legit.

The primary candidates still standing are Kasich, Rand Paul (as a 2016 Senator), Cruz, Rubio (as a 2016 Senator). Everyone else will bite the dust after this election.
