If radio isn't very supportive, then this won't go anywhere. I just hope radio will pickup, I want this to be the defining hit of Goodbye Lullaby. It deserves top 10.
It's sad to see Avril struggling. I have faith that she'll be able to recover anyways. I just hope recovery starts with this song. Her star is so damaged with What The Hell and Smile. Ugh. Why did she release those songs.
I dont think Smile or WTH shouldve been on the album tbh, they just dont fit.
Lead shouldve been Stop Standing there, its catchy, and more upbeat, while not being as bratty as WTH or Smile.
Then WYWH, followed by ILY, then either RW NE and/ or EH
I like that What The Hell and Smile are on the album. It add's diversity and I love both songs. I think RCA are the big factor that caused this era to underperform. There's so many stupiid things they did like not promoting WTH for ages after Dick Clark's Rockin New Years Eve, Releasing WTH before the video was even out in the UK, putting her on flop shows, delaying the album, bad single choices and more. There just so messy and yet Avril is still their 2nd best selling artist (in the past few years) with only 1.3 million.
That didn't hurt Ke$ha. They released it and then didn't promote it. They said it was out on the 1st but it didn't hit iTunes till the 7th. Da fuq is that? No, they were completely to blame. Had they released it a few days earlier it would have gone top ten and you know it.
People need to stop pretending like WTH was a flop . Without it, the album would've sold less than 80k and I doubt that WYWH would've done better as a first single

The most of us agree that WTH and Smile shouldn't have been on the album but, the bigger mistake was made with the choice of Smile as 2nd single.
