watching this music video actively worsened my jan. 1st hangover.
2016 marks the moment where i'm completely over taylor swift. by now i've contributed every last drop of brain juice i could about what her 'presence' and 'impact' (lol) could 'mean'. she's just not a great artist. i don't care. go away. i tried giving into the whole ''yeah but she's just a great songwriter man!! she's just a nice d0rky girl who legitimately wants to connect with her fans through her songs!!'' angle, but i swear everytime she releases a song that looks like it has a bit more texture or humanity to it (like this one), next thing you know she does something like premiere the most bbbbbaaaaasssssiiiiccccc soundstagey pretty princess fantasy/explosion of corn like this one, which never fails to remind me that this girl's art has always had the depth of a slick screensaver, and that she never came close to deserving the tremendous attention & accolades she is showered with every two years.

nailed it. you can tell her heart isn't in it anymore. she really,
really,
really didn't need to milk a sixth single from the era. if you're gonna try to make another 'event' music video premiere and it comes out looking this f*****g flat, taylor girl, you can keep it.
