Yeah I just caught seeing that my phone erased the last two zeros from 2000 the first time I wrote down the year too lol.
For chart purposes though, when Billboard will do a Hot 100 of the 2000s, 2000 will be included as it was in the decade countdowns for 00s. Billboard actually sidesteps the issue, and can do so well by simply saying "the 2000s." I guess that's BB's way of avoiding a fight between fans over which year the millennium/century/decade started on their comment boards. Just like BB referred to the 90s as 90-99 instead of 91-00, and they're referring to the 2010s as 10-19, not 11-20.
Technically starting the new decade/century/millennium is in fact 2001, though quite annoying when you see the first number make a huge change a year earlier.
