ATRL INTERVIEWS...

JAX
(Reminder: You can ask Jax whatever you want, related to ATRL, Pop Music, Personal Life etc. He will answer all of the questions. Have fun reading!)
Know-To-Know:
His name is Jack but he prefers to be called Jax on ATRL. Jax is a gay male high school student who lives in Mississippi (US). He loves theater arts and his favorite artists are Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Azealia Banks, Ciara, and Junglepussy.
A(lex): why did you change the ck to x in your name? Is it a bit more catchy for the ATRL standards  ?
J(ax): Lol well I had the username Jacks Navy because my twitter name was @JacksNavy and after I just became a casual fan of Rih I felt the name was misleading so I changed my name in 2013 to "Jax" beause it's pronounced the same as Jacks and it looks #coot. And no, it has no relation to Mortal Kombat or whatever, despite popular belief.
A: oh okay, so, what kinda of job would you like to have in the future? Maybe something related to theater arts?
J: I have thought about that but I don't consider myself to be talented enough to make that into a career. At the moment I'm thinking about going into advertising.
A: are you afraid of the failure?
J: I don't know. I guess so. I don't like taking too many risks. IRL I'm known as being a perfectionist at almost everything. I just need everything about me and surrounding me to be on poinT.
A: Do you see yourself working on the advertising section for the rest of your life? If yes, will you still relate to theater arts, like participating in some activities of your city or something...?
J: I have no idea. I don't like to think about or talk about my future, honestly. Like I literally stress about what Ima do for the rest of my life all the time. I would like to stay involved in everything theatrical but it depends on if I have the time.
A: I see...just because you're a Beyonce's stan, I need to ask the next question that I didn't have the chance to ask to Dark Lorde or Rihinvention. What's your inspiration in life ? Do you have one and If yes, what is it?
J: I'm forever inspired by Oprah Winfrey. She's literally who everyone should aspire to be. She went from living in Mississippi, a black female who already had the odds against her, to a billionaire. Oprah should be everyone's inspiration. I'm also inspired by Bey. She shows that you should always push yourself and be the very best you can be.
A: Are you a closeted gay?
J: Lol well yeah. I feel I don't have the option to come out of the closet, like most people do. While my friends will support me as well as my family, the world can be wicked. I live in probably one of the most well known bigoted places in the world. It's not a matter of me not accepting myself, it's a matter of fear. If I could, I would come out. I just don't want to take the risk of getting beat up like the other gays around here.
A: Is it because that you don't want to risk your future career? Does your city have these 'standards'? Do you see them change in the (near) future?
J: I plan to leave Jackson (where I'm at) as soon as I can. I don't plan on having a future here or having a career here. I don't want to live a life in the closet. That's not the life I want. I want to be able to get a career and be able to walk in a store and them not say "you homo? sorry we don't have business for you."
A: Where would you like to start your career and being able to come out of the closet? US? I mean, in another US city probably?
J: I would like to stay in the US. I have lots of places in mind of where I want to go. No place specific though. One thing for sure is I'm leaving the south.
A: Do you see these 'south' standards changing in the future?
J: I don't think they'll change. These standards will still be there, just not as out there as they are now. Like how racism is still very much around in the south, it's just not as in your face as it was in the past.
A: Okay, so, let's go to the ATRL section. How did you know about ATRL, when and why did you enter the site?
J: I found out about ATRL from Twitter. People would always talk about the site and I was like "lemme join" so I joined but I forgot I joined and in September 2012 I came across the site again and realized "don't i got an account here?" and then I finally started posting. I joined so I could stan for GODyoncé
A: Nnn...So you weren't that interested in ATRL the first period I guess..
J: I didn't get real INTERESTED in ATRL till about last quarter of 2013 when I found out about the Games section. Before then I just went on there to drag a bit, get banned, and repeat. Before I found the Games section I would literally not stay unbanned for a week. All in the name of Bey and Azealia.
A: How many times have you been banned? 
J: I lost count. I've been banned at least 10 times.
A: Do you usually fight with the same members about Bey or Azealia or it depends?
J: Usually the same members. The Iggynators and the Britards.
A: Could you not 
J: The Iggynators and Army. Is that better? I don't know the real name of the Iggy fans because I don't have the time to keep up with them.
A: So, Iggy's fans and the Army. Why the Iggy fans? Do you have something against them?
J: Iggy fans tend to be ignorant about female rap in general. I love femcees. I love all female rappers, except Iggy. Iggy doesn't have good flow, she's ignorant, and her got damm fake southern accent turns me off. I don't like the Iggynators because they seem to think a number one = queen of rap. Well if that was the case then Shawnna would be the queen of rap. Bow!
A: Why do they shade Beyonce in your opinion?
J: They don't shade Bey (except Remixed but who has the time to talk about his foolishness) They just shade Azealia.
A: oh ok. What's your favorite member and which your favorite mod?
J: favorite member: ratedg2, bey_rihstan, or bubblebath. favorite mod: retro. I don't talk to the other mods. Oh i also like the mod Lee!!. He's very smart and unbiased tbh.
A: Why do you like Retro?
J: He seems like he knows how to read
A: Is this a shade for the rest of the mods ?
J: Who knows! I have nothing against any of the other mods, I just don't talk to them. I really like all the mods. Except I think Kworb has trash music taste.
A: He has a different taste, it's not the same 'pop' taste like the rest of us. That doesn't mean that his taste is trash tho.
J: He should listen to more Beyoncé
A: How does it feel to be the #9 most influential member of ATRL?
J: I feel I didn't deserve it. I deserved to be on the list because I mean I am the reason we got Lil Mama and the word slé but I don't think I deserved top 10 or even top 40 over so many members in the bottom half.
A: You have made some iconic and many successful threads. The fact is that they're not usually about pop music, but ATRL itself. Have you ever been obsessed with the site?
J: I don't think I'm obsessed. I love the site and the people on it. There's no person on ATRL that I really hate. Just a few that I think are annoying lil idiots.
A: Are you good with coming up with new ideas? For example, the 2010's most influential members was your idea...
J: I don't want to take full credit of the idea, me and Summertime Love with the help of ****YesLovato all brought the thread up together. I do think I am good with ideas though. I have so many ideas for threads but I never feel like making them because I don't feel like keeping up with them for more than a day or two, you know?
A: yeah, I totally understand you. Do you think that members have a bad taste in supporting some threads? Like, do you often see successful but but kind of 'trashy' threads?
J: The Britney base has way too many pages imo! But seriously, yeah. People on ATRL can be a biT thirsty in all these threads about shirtless men that weigh less than 120 and these members calling them "daddy" when they are usually underage and hairless
A: Could you explain me more about the ATRL Presidential Elections? Like a short description.
J: The ATRL Presidential Election 2014 is something I hope will not flop. It probably will (lol oh well!) and you have members sign up and run for presidency of ATRL. There are debates, prizes, and catfights (jk @mods!). Everyone should sign up!
A: Can everyone sign up to be the 'president'?
J: Yeah. As long as you stay unbanned. And the president gets no real power. You just get ATRL+ and a CD on iTunes. Just fill out an app, choose your party, campaign, and have fun.
A: Ok, so, who in your opinion makes the best threads and who the best posts?
J: I like Vin's threads. they're very cute and they all have a certain aesthetic. I think best posts is probably Rem. He posts a lot but doesn't spam post.
A: Is ATRL a serious pop music discussion site, or is a 'kiis' site? Maybe something in the middle?
J: I think it can be both. You should never take ATRL too seriously tho i mean it's just a forum.
A: How do you feel about the Hive? Have you met some real nice guys from your fandom or nahh?
J: I like most of the hive. There are some that I think have a few screws lacking but the majority of the hive rocks my socks. Like every fanbase, there's a few that are kinda.. out there.
A: how did u find out about Beyoncé? When did you stan for her and why?
J: I found out about Beyoncé before I can even remember. I was raised on Destiny's Child and my favorite was always Beyoncé. I remember always sitting and watching the Say My Name music video all day every day. I started stanning for Beyoncé hardcore during the 4 era when I found out about the stan world. I stan for Bey because she's got something no one else has. She is a triple threat. She can sing, dance, and deliver amazing music. She is my queen and no one has yet to come close.
A: What is your favorite album, single, tour, era of beyonce?
J: Single: Partition
Album: BEYONCÉ/B'Day
Tour: The Mrs. Carter Show
Era: I Am... (visually)
A: Your favorite moment as a stan?
J: My favorite moment as a stan was the performance at the super bowl. She delivered the best performance those straights have ever seen and showed to the world how amazing she can truly be. No one will ever top that performance.
A: What do you think about the re release? What do you want her to do next in her career?
J: I felt it was unnecessary but I am not complaining since 7/11 is a bop. Self titled was amazing as it is and didn't need a rerelease but hey do you. What I want Bey to do next is to do whatever the hell shE wants. I mean I always think "I wish she'd done this" but she's in charge and she always seems to do it right (besides releasing pretty hurts as a single. no one likes that trash)
A: What is your comment about this year's Grammys nominations?
J: Beyoncé deserved more noms
A: Who do you think is winning ROTY, SOTY, Best pop solo performance, Album of the year, Artist of the year, best pop duo?
J: ROTY: anything that isn't fancy
SOTY: If Take Me To Church doesn't win I'm killing someone
Pop Solo: i don't like any of those. idc who wins

J: I don't like Ed Sheeran because he looks like a victim of chernobyl. Sam is a good singer but he's also very ugly. Too many ugly ass people smh
A: What do you think about Rihanna? Are you a bit perched for her new album or nah?
J: I like Rih and I'm excited about her new release but I am not as excited as I would've been in 2011. You feel?
A: Yeah, it's the same for me..I'm a bit tired of all this amount of anticipation. Jax, what's your opinion about Britney Spears? Do you agree that she has some of the greatest bops ever?
J: I hope she lays off the pipe one day. Do it for the kids @Britney.
