Because it was linear no need to add quotation marks when it was way more linear than X.
You couldn't even backtrack which made the postgame boring as **** it should have been a newgame+.
The game was horrible from a design standpoint but the story was great.
But even then it was problematic when important things that should have been told in the game was reduced to the datalog. That is not good storytelling, you leave things in the log for deeper insight on lore and other things of that nature.
Characters and important plot points should not go unfinished in the actual game.

The blatant lying

Tabata is trying to throw shade saying how it was Stella who was the damsel in distress when Luna is the strong one. He needs to show us and not tell us because at this point it just looks like BS to me.
I feel he's trying to convince us to like her after we got to know what Stella was about and even if there was a point in the game where Stella needed to be saved she still had a much more independent personality.
"Don't worry about me and go live your own life" showed she was a strong indepoenant woman who while cared for Noctis couldn't go on as her fathers kingdom was at war with his.
There is also the CGI scene where she is leading Noctis in a flashback as kids.
So she obviously felt some form of loyalty to her father and kingdom while still didn't want to hurt Noctis which put her in a very tough place. They came off as friends first then potentially become more.
That is way more interesting than an arranged marriage where Luna sits in a chair waiting for him (in their own words in a previous trailer)
I am praying for a twist and the arranged marriage is strictly political and they don't really fall for each other that easily.
