I'm sure this album will do well overseas and by the looks of it Empire and Dare could smash in the US too. But as of now, these HDD numbers are bad given all the stops her label pulled. Her ATRL fans deserve the lashings.

That's great that some of your fellow base had best intentions and never started dragging by themselves. But I remember that since the very first talks (rumours & assumptions) about Shakira's collaboration with Rihanna - and, of course, after the announcement (before the premiere so far) - people with Beyonce on their avis were saying "it won't top BL" and making threads like "Beyonce ft Shakira vs Shakira ft Rihanna" or "BL vs CRFTY" filled with Hive by 95%, who were mocking haughtily left and right, as they almost always do. Stans were expecting something big, of course. Some of them wanted an impressive collaboration, some of them wanted it to smash (who doesn't want their fave to smash?), but I remember barely any Shakira fan who thought about anyone else specifically at that moment, or brought out Beyonce first. On the contrary...
