I find it funny how much people try to discredit Xtina. My theory that the majority of you are 13-17 has been proven more than enough. 1st off, it's mind blowen how much that word "iconic" is thrown around here. Some of you talk about things from the past and have no real idea what you're talking about.
These are your main excuses for bashing Xtina:
"She's a total bitch and everyone (celebrities) says it. WRONG!
"Her last album flopped, so she's done for." WRONG AGAIN!
"She oversings and all great singing is based around good technique only." WRONG!
Do you know how much Madonna flopped in the early to mid 90s? Do you realize how many people talked **** about her, celebrites included? Do understand they wrote her off for a long time? Madonna didn't start getting her Icon/legend status until this past decade.
Xtina is becoming a icon and is already a legend. Her voice alone is ICONIC, so you'll just have to be mad and deal, and talk about how much she oversings...whatever, find another excuse, it's getting TIRED!!!
GIAB, What a girl wants, Beautiful, Lady Marmalade are all ICONIC songs.
Dirrty is infamous and the video has to be one of the most controversial videos of all time.
Xtina's poofy hair, assless chaps are all iconic looks that she'll be forever remembered for...plus don't even get me started on her starting the blonde hair, red lipstick trend. And most of you are wrong when you say Britney overshadowed Xtina in the 2000s. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! Tabloids wise and media wise, maybe. Remember, just because you're in the media all the damn time, doesn't mean people like you.
Sells? Well that's tricky. Xtina, Brit, BSB, Nysnc and Spice girls were the top 5 pop acts. All their albums sold SHITLOADS. Yes Brit 1st album sold a lil more than Xtina, but let's not forget Xtina 1st album was MASSIVE and most of all her singles ate the charts and went #1. And the reason Brit sold so many albums is because she released them every year. She was the Rihanna before Rihanna. Had Xtina did the same, instead of releasing that Xmas and Spanish albums, their album sells would be neck to neck.
But, let's not forget Xtina ate Britney with the singles. Also, Xtina was always looked at as the talented one of all the pop acts. So lets not sit here and beat our keyboards because our personal feelings. Stop underminding her success and give her, her props. Xtina has just as much of a chance to comeback like any other artist. Again, if Train can comeback, so can she.
