They are very close by all available objective measures (music video, radio, sales, and trending combined) exclusively in the U.S. It's ridiculous how many of you are arguing over almost negligible differences in success in that realm. These are two very successful songs. However, it is very impressive that Beyoncé was able to turn what was supposed to be an urban radio-only single into the huge hit that it became.
On a Worldwide scale, it is clear that Applause exceeds Drunk In Love in every way imaginable. For this reason, I voted Applause in the poll.
