I pretty much like all the songs from this set and the ones that are left.

Btw, Red, I gave Get Right a 10, but I'm not listed among those who gave it a 10.
My initial score for it was 8, but then I asked Ace to change it to 10.
But anyways, I doubt it would change anything... so w/e.
Oh, and you are so wrong for giving Gold Digger a 0
If you guessed Gwen as the highest ROTY nominee, you were wrong!
9.
Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl
Average Score: 7.724 Previous Rank:5 (-4)
Highest Score:10 (ReachOut, Stevie, TheoJuke, Regina George, madonnas, Toysoldier99, Black Pearl, MP2K, Flashing Lights, Altidor, Mr. Duff, Blueberry Mary, V$33$L, supaspaz)
Lowest Score: 0 (Subomie) The Consensus
"This song ... so anthemic ..." - Adr
"This **** is bananas." - Brando
"A certified classic from the first moment that stomping beat was unleashed upon the world. Courtney Love is still running scared." - supaspaz
"THIS IS MY SHITE! Y'all are trippin', this is definitely better than "Cool". " - Stevie
My Thoughts: How you a) handle Courtney Love, and b) pay homage to a great record without completely ripping it off. The spirit of Queen is all over this, but Gwen makes it her own.
"It verges on a ten out of ten, but since it really does not deserve to win its third rate, I'm forced to give it an 8." - Stevie
"Still a breath of fresh air, even now. I really wish it had been bigger than "Hollaback"." - Red
"Surprisingly this song is my least favorite song too. but still [love] Gwen to death." - Adr
"Glamour-pop at its finest. It feels like one of those ‘50s movies you watch just to bask in the luxury. I love letting Gwen’s stately sense of closure and the song’s chic romanticism wash over me." - supaspaz
"... The most overrated song in history, forcing me to act. " - Subomie
My Thoughts: We at least have a non standard winner, but damn if this song isn't magic. The kind of emotional complexity that is severely lacking in most music by pop girls/boys.
One more ROTY (and SOTY, I might add) nominee down, one more to go ...
07.
I tried to pick a performance that didn't have obvious lipsynch issues at the end ...
Mariah Carey - We Belong Together
Average Score:7.836 Previous Rank:#1 (- 6)
Highest Score:10 (Ace Reject, Brando, Toysoldier99, Flashing Lights, Altidor, Subomie, Great Username, supaspaz) Lowest Score:3 (Black Pearl
The Consensus
"I know y'all will do this song wrong and I'm not here for it. WBT is just heavenly." - Subomie
"It's overrated, and that's all you'll hear me say on the matter. Unless you prod me to learn more, which I guess I'll answer eventually." - Red
"Some of the best sung verses of all time." - Brando
"Bland, Mariah, bland." - Stevie
"A revelation in Mariah’s discography. There’s no substituting vocal acrobatics for emotion here; she sounds truly vulnerable, easing back and letting the heartbreak seep into her delivery. When she finally lets loose at the end, it’s well earned—and all the more affecting for it." - supaspaz
The highest ranking Record of the Year nominee. I guess y'all would have awarded it, and not Green Day then?
06.
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. (ft. De La Soul)
Average Score:7.914 Previous Rank:18 (+ 12)
Highest Score:10(Stevie, Pluto, Adr, TheoJuke, Regina George, MP2K, Flashing Lights, jqnetto, supaspaz) Lowest Score:0(vinKC, Great Username)
The Consensus:
"The indecipherable combination of old school hip-hop, alternative rock, pop balladry and whatever other inspirations passed through Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s brilliant minds still sounds as fresh as it did upon first listen." - supaspaz
"In another life, I was a druggie and this was my anthem. Respect!" - Stevie
"I still cannot listen to this song in full anymore, but I can't help but enjoy it a bit when it comes on the radio from time to time." - Red
"The most succesful song from them and also a perfect song from Gorillaz!"- Adr.
"I love the rap part and the chorus knocks too, the verses just stop it short of a 10." - Subomie
My Thoughts: I'd concur Subby. The verses are the weakest part of the song, and keep it from being a ten - unlike its' predecessor, 'Clint Eastwood.'
