It's been said before, but it bears repeating: Whodathunk little Christina Aguilera would come out on top? And we don't just mean this sexy snapshot.
With eating disorders, DUIs, jail time and ex-husbands aplenty, it's been a less than graceful year for Hollywood's starlets so far.
And then there's Aguilera, a shining, red-lipped example for women everywhere: She hires drivers when she's tipsy, embraces her body (read: actually eats) and wears not only underwear but Agent Provocateur lingerie—beat that!
Now, with baby rumors sprouting, Aguilera is poised for yet another transition. Model singer, pop star, wife and maybe mother? She'll always be our dirrty girl, but (sniffle) we're proud of the woman she's become.

Even CNN mentioned something similar a few months ago... I'm SO proud of Christina!

Maybe but the numbers of her sales when b2b was out of the top 40 were taken from the estimates posted here which include that 7.5%

Umm, next album? How about get your new single out NOW to raise your damn current album up on the charts. Pull a Pink or something. BTB is too fresh and unique for albums nowadays to be considered 'a flop'.

Tell me how many albums that come out nowadays sound like BTB. And the reason it's "fresh" is partially because target consumers nowadays weren't even around during the decades in which Christina drew a lot influence from for BTB-I'm sure everyone is at least vaguely familiar with the style of music back then, but I doubt many people our age are really into that style of music, or even know much about it. So then throw a bit of a modern twist in there and it creates something that people in our generation aren't really used to hearing with all these Rihanna's and Ciara's and generic rappers ruling the radio airwaves [not to mention it's much more different than Christina's past work], but is still modern/commercial/mainstream enough to have appeal. So y'know, that's why it's kindasorta "fresh". Alrighteh?

If you consider platinum+ sales in 2007 underperforming, then ok...

I think a lot of the generation today it totally deprived of what good music is. They seem to think that good music is all about hot beats and all teh other ****. When there is a lot more to music then that, My grandma used to listen to a lot of old school stuff to but i learned to appreciate music when it acully was about music not when it all about how much of attenion *****/ just putting you voice into cliched beats i do like some artist out today and that is quite a few people need to relize that if it was not for old school music none of these artist out today would have existed

Week 20: 81.000 (Re. at #32)
Week 21: 55,000 (#24)
