It might go at 8, though. It could potentially be a better lead-in to Madam Sec than Sec would be for it. Idk.
But being on Sunday at any time would majorly **** it over because of the football delays that plague the night for 2/3s of the season.

The only shows I watch from CBS are 2BrokeGirls and Mom. Other than that I have no idea about their schedule.
It is?
I don't want it on Sundays though. Not here a Battle Creek kinda of flop either
You're scaring me already and the trailer isn't even out yet

Wow some of these actually look good/funny.
Shots Fired and Pitch look like they have a lot of potential, and APB, Conviction and Notorious could be good too. The Mick and American Housewife look like they could be really funny.
On the other hand, Still Star Crossed, the Kristin Bell heaven comedy, all the time travel ones, and Son Of Zorn look disastrous. I can't believe some of these shows make it to air.
And Imaginary Mary will CERTAINLY be the first one cancelled, right? I've never seen a trailer that bad

I'm definitely going to watch: The Good Place, APB, Timeless, Time After Time, Making History, The Exorcist, The Mick, Shots Fired, and Still Star Crossed.
I know many will probably be cancelled if those trailers are anything to go by, but those all seem really interesting.

Bull sounds pretty interesting, but I'm afraid the show might not be good and still get good ratings cause that guy from NCIS is staring in it so it will never be canceled.

I read it several time and yeah this is a mess
Why the hell they put 8pm with newbies and why Code Black is still in behind Criminal Minds with bad retentions.
Scorpion is getting The Odd Couple lead-in, why on earth they deserve this.
I think NCIS LA will pull same number with Madam Seceretary. Also McGyver could be DOA

I was thinking maybe they think BBT will give the new show a good start and then they can pair it with another new one, but yeah it's not good.

I've never been a regular viewer of a single CBS show and I'm not gonna start now.
I don't think the Monday lineup is very strong. I think it should be 3 regular hours of comedy, not 4. ABC can afford it more because The Middle has more proven its strength in anchoring a night. At least Life in Pieces can fall to its real level gracefully and CBS is as usual giving a new show a good shot.
So in the end best timeslots (for 1st or 2nd year shows) going to:
ABC Notorious
Speechless
Conviction
CBS Great Indoors
Bull
Code Black...what a waste.
Fox Son of Zorn
Lethal Weapon
Shots Fired
NBC Timeless
This is Us
Taken
With this comedy expansion, I suppose 2 Broke Girls and Mom could last a bit longer than some anticipated.
Somewhat interesting matchups:
Sunday: Um...Secrets and Lies vs. Family Guy/Last Man on Earth I guess
Monday: Seeing how much DWTS catches up to Voice this season; it’s been creeping up.
Kevin James/Matt LeBlanc vs. Gotham then 24
Broke Girls/Odd Couple vs. Lucifer then APB
Conviction vs. Scorpion vs. Timeless then Taken
Tuesday: Voice vs. NCIS for leading the night.
Bull vs. This is Us using primo lead-ins.
NCISNO vs. Chicago Fire
Wednesday: Goldbergs/Speechless vs. Survivor. Maybe Lethal Weapon
Designated Survivor vs. PD.
Thursday: How will Superstore/Good Place fare against Grey’s and Big Bang?
Notorious/Scandal vs. Chicago Med
Murder vs. Blacklist

What does CBS do when one of the comedies flops/under performs? BBT repeats? I'm surprised they have no backup lifeline. 2BG/TOC on Mondays isn't going to be very strong imo, especially leading into one of their youngest skewing shows, Scorpion. Man With a Plan should have led into The Odd Couple just for the fact that two "Friends" are "together" again.
There's little flow on Sundays with NCIS:LA, Madam Secretary and Elementary. Madam Secretary, Elementary NCIS:LA makes more sense IMO but I guess they are thinking NCIS:LA is the youngest skewing of the three to hold on to the Football/60 Minutes lead in.
Midseason they have Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (which will likely end up back on Weds since Code Black allegedly has a 17 episode order), Training Day, Doubt, Undercover Boss and The Amazing Race (which will likely replace MacGyver after it comes in DOA)

Some people got annoyed with the comedy backups because they didn't get their faves on as early as desired, but it was good sense for CBS. Don't wanna be stuck with an Angel from Hell or McCarthys all season. It's why I thought that even if they re-expanded it should be 3 hours of comedy, not 4. I mean, they kinda did it this spring, but that was with 2 episodes each of multiple shows...
Hmm, of the 5 shows on all the networks I'm most likely to watch at least one episode of this fall, most could be Monday (Jane the Virgin, Riverdale, Timeless). This is Us Tuesday, Good Place Thursday.

They can't cancel those because they represent 80% of their female-led programming (if you count that both shows are doubled up on female leads).
“We are the network that has Madam Secretary and Two Broke Girls and Mom – we have lots of female leads, we have a great balance,” said CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller. “Actually our new series are more diverse this year than last year. When Doubt premieres, I’m happy to say it’s the first broadcast series to feature a transgender series regular played by a transgender actor. I think that’s phenomenal. We are definitely moving in the right direction.”
3/22 = a "great balance," hm?
"More diverse than ever," hm? But literally every new show on the fall line-up is led by a straight white man.
And yikes at this tacky way that they're using Laverne as token minority. Their only token minority.

I mean, I've never been a legit fan of any CBS show unless you count mary tyler moore from way before I was born. But their lack of female leads isn't hurting their female viewership; all their shows skew female, as the only scripted shows that skew male are Fox Sunday comedies and sci-fi actioners.
I looked back through this decade to see the T10 new network shows by three different measures:
Initial Metascores: Nashville, American Crime, Jane the Virgin, Smash, Crazy Ex Girlfriend
Blackish, Raising Hope, Fresh Off the Boat, Supergirl, Chicago Code [4 ABC, 2 Fox/CW]
TV Critics Association Awards: New Girl/Mindy Project, Empire, Parenthood, Jane the Virgin, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Raising Hope, Revenge/Smash/Elementary [5 Fox, 2 NBC]
Annual critics’ T10 lists: Hannibal, Parenthood, Revenge, Empire, Jane the Virgin, New Girl/Nashville, Happy Endings/Scandal, Crazy Ex Girlfriend [4 ABC, 2 NBC/CW/Fox, 0 CBS]
All 3 lists - Jane the Virgin, On lists 2 & 3 - New Girl/Empire/Parenthood/Revenge, On lists 1 & 3 - Crazy Ex/Nashville, On lists 1 & 2 - Smash/Raising Hope
CBS certainly looks the loser in developing quality this decade.

Why were all the CBS videos basically a review of their pilots?
Man With a Plan and Training Day look okay. Tho most of them have canceled written all over them.
