I really don't think it would. I think she should take a rest after touring to perfect the next album and then come back with a more commercial sound if that's what she's going to do. I think it would have a big effect that way. With Gaga gone, things will get boring and people will miss her. They will.

I think the music is amazing. She just made too many mistakes. Judas was a mistake (albeit one we can't blame them for, as it did indeed sound like a smash, and no-one expected the radio boycott), TEOG video, Y&I as a single... She just needs to be reigned in. The music of this era (with better single choices) combined with the artistic control of TF/TFM would have been perfect.

But if she exits on a low (in other words, after a single that has underperformed), people will care less. At least if she has a smash hit that everyone loves, then disappears, it'll be more than her fans that miss her

I think the era couldn't have gone in a different way. It was doomed to that or even worse.

Born This Way is not so bad after all, I can't say I don't like it at all. As you said, with the right artistic control (which means videos, image, style, photoshoots and more) and the right choices it could have done so much better.

Exactly. She has an extremely creative mind, and if she isn't controlled by those around her, she'll run with it. It's not a bad thing, unless she is surrounded by 'yes-men' who refuse to say no to her, which I fear she currently is. If she is with people who reign her in, she produces fabulously creative pieces of work. That said, Honey, one area we'll always disagree on; I love the video for MTN
