i had listened to 11/21 songs already!! i am legitimately shocked at these songs!! this was by far the worst set of the last season and this season combined! i liked 1 song out of the ones i hadnt listned to before, and 3 from the ones i Had. half the list is 4 artists! allll these mainstream bubblegum/electro pop artists, and a collection of the worse songs of their discography! (except the one with songs 6,13,18.. but that album is flawless, one cant really go wrong) i was so excited and i am just so deflated right now.. :smh:

anyways.. here goes nothing. (* means heard em before)

SONG 01* Dint feel it in the beginning, but it gets better as it progresses. one of the better ones in the list.
SONG 02 didnot like the song at all. bold move, whoever picked this song though..
SONG 03* one of my least faves from that album, and its a stellar album.
SONG 04* copy+paste song 3's comment.
SONG 05 Wow!! wow.. so bad.
SONG 06* my least fave out of the three songs this artist has in this list. still good.
SONG 07* love the band. the song.. not so much. top half nonetheless.
SONG 08 not good, not bad..
SONG 09 best song out of the three this artist has. still not very good.
SONG 10* one of my faves from the album.. i have heard this song to death already i thought i used this last season.
SONG 11 better than the other song this artist has in this list.
SONG 12 & 14* these two songs right here is the precise reason i hate this artist. they are practically the same song. this artist's third song in the list is better than both of these.
SONG 13* best song in this list. best song of this artist. period.
SONG 15* i hate this song so much and its a shame cuz this album so many good non-singles.
SONG 16 this is the lucky one song that i loved .. best song i hadnt heard before.
SONG 17 its a nice song i am gonna keep this one cuz i feel like its a grower!
SONG 18* love this song. cant miss it with this artist
SONG 19 its okay, but so many other songs are worse so this one still shines.
SONG 20 another casual electro pop song, what else is new?
SONG 21 i LOVED the other song of this artist here, this one is bad.

Initial thoughts:

Song 01:
Yes! I know this artist! I used to love this artist's singles when I was younger! I have NEVER heard this song before! When everyone was talking about "The Kids Don't Stand A Chance", I thought they were actually talking about Vampire Weekend, but IT'S A SAMPLE! And I love this feature! How have I never heard this song before?

Song 02:
This is a miracle of a song! Such a good entry!! I love this artist, and this is the sort of thing I could imagine myself doing Zumba to! Thank you to whoever sent this in, it's put me in a really cool mood! What kind of bop is this?! (I actually want to go and do Zumba to this song now)

Song 03:
WHY IS THIS ROUND SO AMAZING SO FAR? One of the albums of my childhood! I love the fact that the mood of this round so far has been so summery and relaxing - have these songs been put in this order on purpose? I'm so happy so far. I completely forgot about the changes in pace as well - masterpiece.

Song 04:
I remember this song. I really like this artist, but this song is pretty mediocre (and so is the album, really). Her newest album is an absolute bop but this is a bit shouty and over-produced. It sounds like it might be a bonus track on one of the albums from the TV show. It's listenable, though. Oh! It has a cool ending.

Song 05:
Hate this guy. I did try to listen to his album once, and because this is the second track on it, I have heard this, but I really had to stop. Disgusting guy, mediocre music. Took me a lot of strength to get through to the end of this one. I would never listen to this by choice. (The first three songs were so good... what happened?)

Song 06:
Oh! This is a pretty cool song. I quite like this person's album as well. From people's comments there seems to be a lot of this person in the round. I'm not enjoying listening to this that much right now given that the mood of the round has been ruined. Maybe in the Winter.

Song 07:
What is this mess? I know this old artist? I don't like them though. Annoying voice. Meh song. Might have been artistic like forty years ago, but now it's just a bit irritating. I can't see many people on ATRL going for this, but I might be wrong - I'll just have to wait and see. OK, I've changed my mind. After a good singalong this was quite fun.

Song 08:
Dreary to start off with. Oh! This is quite nice. I know this artist as well! Oh! This is getting boring again. Reminds me of a certain British X Factor contestant who flopped in the end. Oh! This song just twists and turns doesn't it. Would probably be quite exciting if I was playing it full blast/singing it at a karaoke night.

Song 09:
Oh! I tried to be anorexic for like a day but I wasn't strong enough! I had like ice and celery but that's not even anorexic. In the end, I had to get my mum to make me a sandwich. Meanwhile, this song is quite filler on the album. I really like the EP though. This is kind of a bop, like ish?

Song 10:
Yikes! I don't really like this artist. Well, I like a couple of his songs. This is pretty desperate though. I guess it's listenable. I feel like a lot of this round (4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10) is listenable but not something I'd really listen to particularly. I'm just hoping it starts well (1, 2, 3) and ends well

Song 11:
Yes! I really love this artist and this album. I really like the breakdowny bit - I always thought that Marina's breakdowny "yeah-yeah" bit "I'm A Ruin" was quite similar to this in this song. I'm hoping the round picks up from here now. This is nice and cool! I like it, I like it.

Half-way through the round update: This round so far has been a big journey into artists I kind of like, but not like enough to listen to the albums. Especially as I know all the artists so far, but not that many of the songs. I'm kind of enjoying the round though. There's definitely a few gems in there. (Part 2 up soon)

Part 2:

Song 12:
Bop! I really like this song. It's got a nice feeling. This round is picking up now. I'm now praying for a 1-2-3 trinity with 11-12-13. Song 13 better serve it up. This song is so relatable! We all make mistakes, I know right. I can imagine kids singing this one in a playground, that would be super cute. Note: So much better than the other song from this person.

Song 13:
And there's my 11-12-13 trinity sorted! This is really nice. I forgot how long the intro was though, wow! This is a nice song, but I'm not really in the mood for this album at all in the summer. Especially as it's sort of a sad, ethereal album. It's a great song, but I'm not in the mood for it. Won't affect the score though, I did used to stan for this artist. In my top five so far actually.

Song 14:
Isn't this a single? I really like this song though. One of the best on the album. OK, I guess being the title track to the EP isn't actually a single. I guess I was surprised because it's so good and should have been a single. Nice. The tracks from this person so far keep improving.

Song 15:
I promised myself I'd listen to each song in full, so I will get to the end of the song. One of the things about this artist that has always put my off is his long-winded album tracks. How far am I through? Just over half-way. I'm looking forward to the next song. This would be good if it ended right here. This should actually be two songs. I'm a minute to the end now. This wasn't very exciting to listen to at all. OK, it's finished now. That was overwhelming.

Song 16:
The ATRL diva is really coming out this round. This is good though, and very powerful. This should have been a single. It's really powerful, and enjoyable to listen to. It would make a great album closer. (Reminds me - I'd like to try arranging each round into a cool album afterwards, ordering the songs into a good structure, that would be nice)

Song 17:
Hate this artist's voice. Don't mind THAT duet though. I get that some people might enjoy this sort of thing. It sounds like the sort of thing kids would sing to their parents at the end-of-year concert when they finish primary (elementary) school. Yeah, I could imagine a chorus of ten-year-olds chirping through this one. Not my thing sorry but if my kid sang it to me I'd be very impressed with them.

Song 18:
Oh! It's this person. I'm so not in the mood for this though. This is one of my favourite albums, but I'm just not feeling it all right now. Having so many songs by these two people (three each) is totally going to affect people's positioning. I reckon people will definitely rank all six of the songs low which is a shame, because both of the artists are capable.

Update before the last three: Apart from a few songs, this round has been really disappointing. I did love the last round though! I'll probably spend more time listening to "Cry Wolf", "Lips", etc. than this lot during the next week. I can't see me listening to the full versions of these songs much, but I love y'all. I just think the category was restricting (if UK #1s were allowed, I had the best choice as well Love you!

1. Cute.
2. Not feeling the song, but Spanish was refreshing.
3. Liked the vibe, but didn't really leave a strong impression. Indifferent about this.
4. What an unpleasant listen. Her voice was even more off-putting than usually.
5. Simply bad. Definitely won't "take it easy on" this one.
6. Generally like the artist, but this is certainly one of her weakest.
7. Not a fan of the outdated, or in this case just old sound. Better audio quality could have helped.
8. Her vocal acrobatics have never impressed me, not into that. It's just there.
9. Expected to hear quite a few of her songs. We'll see. Fun, but mediocre.
10. Okayish.
11. Sweet. She has better tracks, though.
12. Surprise, surprise, another one! Bland, but it has a very nice flow.
13. Pleasantly mellow. Need to be in the right mood to truly appreciate this.
14. Again! Don't care for this. Worst of the 3 from her.
15. He sounds fine, but the song drags on for too long. So-so.
16. The strong voice makes up for the somewhat lackluster song.
17. Tedious.
18. Pretty solid.
19. Thought about sending this song, actually. Not bad at all.
20. Meh. Spiritless, but sort of cute.
21. Decent.

Song 19:
This band had a number one? THAT song was really good enough for number one in not just my own country but across the pond? Yikes! Filler af (but so are eight others so they could end up charting kind of high) One-hit wonder. and I can see why. At least, THAT number one has got quite a good (but kind of confusing) structure to it. Meh.

Song 20:
Another album of my childhood. I really, really, really like this song. It's got such a nice feeling. I'm praying that the next song will be good so that there will at least be two songs at the end that I really like. Quite enjoying this song. She's got such a pleasant and soothing voice to listen to. Yeah, I'm happy with this.

Note: No one sent any Iggy Azalea?? That would have really livened up the round.

Song 21:
Definitely not as good as the other song by this person. I've literally only noticed that this person and another person in this round have really similar voices, having listened to four songs by these two artists during this round. It's kind of a fitting end to the round. Okay, not a bad listen at all, but slightly depressing.

This round was so disappointing for me, yikes! It was really depressing and I definitely need to listen to some of my fun faves (Track 2 and 3) to make my mood better! I'm really sorry this was so negative, it really is such a restricting round. Love you all.
