Got the game today, finished it today (not QUITE in one sitting, but close). Only Arkham City has come close to having as awesome of a campaign this year. I'm really not sure which campaign is better...which I was afraid of, because it's going to make ranking the two a bitch at the end of the year.
Purely in terms of how much the game wowed me, UC3 = UC2, maybe a little more slanted to UC3, because there are just so many insane moments. I actually JUMPED at a scene or two, which never happens in a video game for me, let alone a game like UC3. I'd have to say that this was at least on par with UC2's campaign, if not better.
I never thought I'd imagine myself saying that, actually. Wow.
Just finished Uncharted 3, and what a ride! I was on the edge of my seat pretty much the whole time. I don't know if I prefer it to U2, but I still loved it.
Pros:
Graphics (still top of the class)
Story (definitely the best out of the series, and it gave me the most touching scene I've ever seen on a videogame)
Set-pieces (some of them were INSANE)
Puzzles (they were actually challenging this time around)
Melee combat (I didn't expect it to be that fun to play)
The atmosphere (it had an even more 'movie feel' vibe than before)
Cons:
The pacing (too many puzzles at the beginning, too much shooting at the end)
Gunfights (some were very tiring to me, I didn't like the waves of enemies on U1 and didn't like it here as well)
The aiming (that was a bit off from U2, it got me a while to get used to it)
Finished U3 and loved it. The chapter in the desert is probably one of the best game parts EVER.
But wtf at the lame ending. They could've done so much more, it was really disappointing. I will write more later when I'm home.
Who is going to buy the Playstation Vita? I am for sure and I can't wait to play the upcoming Bioshock game on it. The first two parts were amazing, but I think the third one will top it all.
