I just came back from meeting Tove Lo at 101.9 AMP Radio. OMG!
I got there around 12:35, walked into the radio lobby area and spoke with the sweet lady that offered me a seat. The website instructed fans to get there at 1:30 but I wanted to have a guaranteed spot. I waited a while and she finally arrived around 2. The radio station interviewed her and she did a separate Q&A on twitter in another room. While she was doing that in the other room, the fans and I were in this mini conference room where they gave us food and had speakers set up. After her Q&A was done, she walked into the room and said, "Hello Babes" to the 12 (about) fans that were sitting there. She is so petite and cute. Her hair was so sexy too. She was wearing a cute mini crop top and her nipples were hard (it was kind of cold). The guy that works at the radio station asked if we had any questions. Of course, I did. I asked her what her favorite song on Queen of the Clouds was. She mentioned that since the album is so new, she changes her mind all the time but today her favorite was My Gun. She said it's not as slow as her other stuff and the lyrical content is dark. She got asked how she ended up featuring on the song "Heroes" and she said that she knew Alesso because of her brother. He submitted a couple of instrumentals to her and asked her which one stuck out to her the most, in which she replied that the guitars in the beginning of the song stuck out to her. Someone else asked her how she became known and bigger. She said she met the manager (I think) of Icona Pop at a party and she insisted that he heard her music. He said no but she kept on and on. She mentioned if you want something to go for it.
Then it happened... She played two songs from Queen of the Clouds for us!
Talking Body: OMG. amazing song from beginning to end. The chorus is massive. Its such a sexy song. I think she says, "we can **** for life" in the chorus.
Moments: Amazing as well but not as good as Talking body. It was very very good. It's just that Talking Body was THAT amazing.
She mentioned that she was going to LA tonight to film a video for Heroes.
She said she does not put on an act. She is who she is. Her music is personal and she doesn't read a lot of things people write online because it might offend her.
She said she writes about love because she is always falling in and out of love. After she said that I said to her, "well, keep falling in love because your music is amazing."
She left the room with her manager (I'm guessing) and the radio station workers said to form a line for a picture. The pictures are not yet on the website so I cannot post them yet. They did not let us take a selfie with her for the 101.9 AMP meet and greet. When it was my turn to take the pic we hugged each other and she said it was nice to meet me.
Me and some girl I met went downstairs to wait for her and took advantage that everyone left. We saw her again coming out of the elevator. I called her name and she turned around. I asked if we could take a picture together and her manager quickly said they needed to go because they were running late. I was sad but happy I got to see her one more time. I cannot wait to get the picture from the website!
So ****ing happy for you (and jealous) im glad you got to meet her!!
I'm so confused... Did it leak or not, and if part of it leaked, what's out? because I can't find anything except 4 snippets that have the octave so high she sounds like a chipmunk.
Okay so I made a track list to try to incorporate the bonus songs into the acts of the album (also added Over because I needed another song for The Pain and it's the best on TS)
THE SEX
My Gun
Like Em Young
Talking Body
Timebomb
Crave
THE LOVE
Moments
Love Ballad
The Way That I Am
Got Love
Not On Drugs
THE PAIN
Over
Thousand Miles
Habits
This Time Around
Run On Love
It is uptempo song with dark lyrical content. She told me today. She said it was fun.
I hope its more upbeat than Like Em Young
Timebomb is shaping up to be my fave song from the album. Thousand Miles is a close second though. The Run on Love edit is a mess and they didn't do much on Not Made For This World so I'm kinda disappointed. Anyway, album of the year still.
