Pretty much sums up the situation perfectly.
I can't think of any rising pop star that received the amount of praised heaped on her as Gaga did, and from Madonna too. What more does she want? 
She is still bitter, and the whole alleged copying thing really affected her. I mean, she even made this comment on LM.com.

And, the main reason for Madonna supporting new artists is so she can try to gain more relevance with the "young crowd". She tried it with Britney, Christina, Psy, LMFAO, M.I.A., Nicki, and, just recently, Miley. And, she tried to do it with Gaga but Gaga became too popular, and ultimately a threat. That's why she switched from supporting to dissing Gaga when BTW happened. Madonna just wants attention and she tries to get it constantly.

She supported Katy before she hit it big. But what can I expect from a monster?, selective reading and sheep behavior.
