Yeah, trying to eat healthy is ****ing expensive. I avoid overly fatty foods, no matter the inexpensiveness of them, but it's as though you have to be rich to be healthy -- I'm exaggerating but only by a bit.

You can't blame people who are on a budget who go for the cheap unhealthy food because they can't afford the healthy expensive foods. If America really wants to help solve the obesity issue, they need to try to bring the healthy foods prices down to match the unhealthy ones. Most likely won't happen since the corporations who produce the food don't care if their prices are too high or not.

You know what's crazy about that? On the one hand, asking about a "Whole Foods" denotes a certain level of economic privilege, because that store only services certain types of neighborhoods, but you would be really surprised who's on food stamps these days. It's not just the stereotypical welfare queen. More and more people who live in neighborhoods with "Whole Foods" stores are struggling to keep their footing in the middle class. This economy is serious.
