I think that was a response to the both the pregnancy and divorce rumors, sarcastic obviously. It was before they decided to divorce.

I don't understand why you'd assume sober Katy finds a picture of drunk Katy as hilarious - have you ever been drunk before? You do things you'd never do whilst sober, and thinks you'd usually raise an eyebrow at and think weren't at all funny are hilarious.
Even if the source is right (which they probably aren't, since Katy apparently didn't even know the divorce was happening until she got the papers), what's wrong with her wanting to protect her parents? Have you considered the fact that they might not be as obsessed as people online/the public and can actually separate the Popstar from the persons private, personal life? Perhaps they've realised, like we all should, that the person on stage is an act, played by the actress 'Katy Hudson', and isn't truly their daughter. Why are you making a big deal about who filed it first? One of them had to do it. Russell did it on behalf of her parent's wishes, not her's. You're looking into it waaay too much.
