People will root for Katniss Everdeen being a revolutionary and bombing **** and would never call it "hate" or say "she should be respectful and classy towards the Capitol", but when it comes to calling out white supremacy in the real world suddenly it's "we are all the human race, don't fight h8 with h8!!"

Not gonna lie, I love how 80% of you in this thread proved Azealia right (even if it is unfortunate). Found a way to shift the focus onto "the generalization and discrimination of white people!". Perfect guilt tactic and another component of said privilege. Diversion, deflection, whatever you want to call it.
And of course, there are the exceptions in here who truly understand what is trying to be said despite the fact they may not be able to fully relate. And that's good.

I agreed with his and Rosa Parks' methods. I don't agree with the method of fighting racism with racism (which is NOT the methods he was referring to) because racism of all kinds is wrong. You're not going to make progress like that.
And what I find amazing is that this argument isn't even about whether or not racism can occur. You guys are actually arguing that racism against whites is justified, because all I've been saying his whole time is that "All forms of racism is wrong." You're not fighting racism with me, you're fighting for the right to be racist.

Well, my point is more that, yes, while the oppressors WERE racist whites, he did not lump every white human being into that category. That's what Azealia did. She didn't draw a distinction, but instead said all whites are the same

It's true tho. I DON'T believe in reverse racism, I do think that black people are unfairly treated in this industry and by society in general, but I'm calling Azealia out for being over-aggressive and, frankly, imo, wrong. If you want to present a well developed argument and explain your thoughts clearly and correctly, okay. But don't attack others in the process or generalize.

The point is that the White moderate (I love this term ) are always policing how a Black person can express their anger, how they can express their oppression, and how they can express their pain. They never fail to direct the narrative to how THEY are feeling, guiding the spotlight away from the actual issue at hand. And once Black people state their opinion in the least offensive way, in the way that makes White people feel as comfortable as possible, not attacked at all, they lose interest and the spotlight is turned off.
It's a cycle. Your solution for this cycle to end is for Blacks to change their behavior, but that insinuates that Blacks are the problem— Chris Rock already clocked this tea. The only way this cycle ends is for White people to stop making everything about themselves and open their ears.
