I really liked this one when it first came out. All the controversy was delicious, and hearing me sing those kinds of lyrics elicited weird looks from passerby. It doesn't age very well, but I can still respect it for the position it now occupies in the cultural pantheon.
Fun fact: She was supposed to be in The Muppets singing this song
You know, I never really got to know this song. It came out back when I didn't listen to any radio at all, so I was kinda oblivious to its impact. I guess that's why I've never felt anything at all for Katy Perry.
