The same will be said with the albums of today. The question becomes who's albums will be good enough to impact the industry will it be Rih's albums or will it be Tay's albums. This is just my opinion though and you are entitled to yours as well. I just felt I needed to elaborate more as to why I feel the way I do.

Yeah, you have a point too. I feel like later down the road the GP would remember an artist and associate them with a song because that's what's easier. The average person doesn't really pay attention to the
whole body of work as opposed to the single song. Obviously this kind of thing is disputable because people like Amy Winehouse never really had
massive hits but are huge artists nonetheless. I feel like on the
general scale (hence my use of general in the original post), though, people tend to be bigger with bigger or more famous singles or songs (Lana Del Rey, Norah Jones, etc don't really have this luxury, for example).
I'm not being biased just because I actually prefer Taylor to Rihanna (I have never bought a Rihanna album, or anything for that matter), it's just how I
personally see how popular they are and Google Trends agrees with me.
I'm happy you're being respectful about this though. Not everybody has your kind of class on this forum. <3
