You can quote me. And no it doesn't, since she can't. It's just the first and easiest example to defend my opinion that she hasn't tried to have some type of stage presence besides groaning into the mic and doing a little ditty or two, prematurely peaking. Rih.rox made this bigger than it was trying to make a point that she is actually doing some "dancing" today.

No but when you go from an album like Rated R or My December which clearly show potential for both artists, then to an album like All I Ever Wanted or whatever Rihanna's albums called it just seems a tad disappointing. Kelly varies it up a lot more but for staying power Rihanna needs more than constant generic hits.

Everyone is so hypocritical. Everyone CRAVED for more "dance" Rihanna, then they got it and its generic.

Everyone CRAVED for Rihanna to move more. Then she put in choreography, danced on her tour and in the WMN? performances and everyone said that it isnt anything.

Everyone CRAVED for Rihanna to be more hands on. Then she did it for Rated R but somehow it doesnt count.

The fact is, she did almost all of the most wanted of us and because it was successful, people get mad.

Rihanna has nice lines. She could be a fluent dancer if she wanted to.

What is it's current airplay though? I never hear any old Rihanna songs on radio anymore, that's the problem. Her songs are disposable.

Only Girl is nice but it isn't innovative. European Influenced Dance tracks have been done before.(When Love Takes Over, etc)

California King Bed sounds NOTHING from someone like her. No one would except a song like that from Ke$ha or Britney or Gaga.

Skin is NOTHING like any female Pop star song. WMN? is totally different from Rude Boy. Though I agree about the OG thing - she still created a trend. For example: Wet, Night of Your Life, and many others...

It wasn't really directed towards you, it was more so directed towards i spit on haters incessantly trying to prove how much he hates Rihanna and why. Rihanna has never been a "dancer"; with the exception of a few videos where she had a scene or two of choreography and a couple of performances where she did some ***** popping, hip grinding, etc. I've never understood why people expect any dancing out of her, and this goes for the stans, too. I'd rather her not do any crazy choreography because I know that she isn't capable of it. It would also likely take away from the performance as a whole. Her stage presence has improved over the years, and it continues to improve. I do agree that she needs to work on it a little bit, though.

Ok. But the fact is, it sold off of two singles. Fire Bomb COULD have smashed and made the album extremely successful. You said the public was not hear for that album, but maybe, they were just not EXPECTING a Russian Roulette type track.

Its the only "deep" song that failed. They didnt release any others, so we dont know.

lol I think you guys take the music industry to seriously. Believe or not, the average listener is a causal listener and they just want to hear music that's appealing to them at any given moment. They aren't nitpicking the versatility of an artist. If someone wants to dance or chill out to feel good music they'll listen to Rihanna if they want to hear music about love/heartache they'll listen to Adele. The average listener won't hesitate to venture off in their taste in music or latch on to the music of a new artist. It's the reason why NO artist is safe or established enough to guarantee longevity in their career. Anyone who thinks there's an artist out their who doesn't concern themselves with making commercially appealing music is deluding themselves.

Like 5 mill or some ****. Its still played a lot, especially on Z100. Its her biggest selling solo single after Disturbia and Umbrella. It probably passed DSTM.
