Mess at people thinking there will be 5/6 singles. There isn't even gonna be 4. I can see only 3 happening and then them putting out a brand new Urban Pop banger at the start of next year.
Hey. I'm a newbie and I'm such a huge 5H fan. So I thought what better place to post my second post ever then on a 5H thread. I'll admit that 7/27 is a bit of a step down from Reflection, but I must say I'm living for THE LIFE praise I've been seeing just in the last few pages.
The only other tracks I like from 7/27 are Big Bad Wolf and I lied (Normani's bridge and Ally on the last chorus saves it for me) >>>. The rest is either corny lyrically (That's My Girl) or just has boring production (Gonna Get Better).
I personally love the album a lot more than Reflection but I think the main reason a few people are not liking 7/27 is because it has a lot more slower mid-tempo songs opposed to the fast party songs on Reflection like Worth It, TIHWR, Body Rock, Like Mariah, Going Nowhere etc. I was watching some reactions to the album on YouTube and a lot of people seemed to get turned off by the slower songs like Squeeze, Gonna Get Better, and No Way saying they were nice but preferred the faster upbeat songs. Does anyone else get that vibe from the people that are not liking the album as much?

I agree, they come off as cheesy and cringe worthy lyric wise in songs like write on me, no way, squeeze, gonna get better etc. they just feel lame .. espically towards the young adult demographic. It's like perfect vocals, melody, production, but why are the lyrics randomly lame now?
Listening to this on Apple Music and I keep hearing Normani is the worst singer in the group but I love her voice the most. Her tone is very pretty- soothing. Her and Lauren's voices are my favorites.
Album isn't bad, definitely a step up from Reflection. Much more mature.
That's My Girl and Dope are the highlights of the album for me. They clicked with me on first listen, and that has not changed.
Flex has grown on me a lot... it's not a good song (imho) but it's catchy.
NTKG is still trash though
What makes this album so enjoyable for me (even when I listen to the songs I don't like) is how much I can hear (and enjoy! ) Lauren's voice. Her tone is so gorgeous
) a #20 album sells that much here in Italy. On slow weeks that's enough for a #1.
