Y'all should read this interesting theory about Zoe:
Quote:
We're only beginning to learn about Zoe's powers. After learning of her own personal version of the movie Teeth, we see Zoe and Madison perform an incredibly dark and powerful spell on Kyle; it doesn't work. I'm positive that what brought Kyle back to life was not the spell but rather Zoe's kiss after Madison returns to the car. If there's one thing we know about how the power of these witches works, it's by will. The stronger you will it, the more likely it is to happen.
Zoe is then responsible for contacting and releasing a spirit known as the Axeman. Once again, "reaching into that space between life and death" as Cordelia puts it when talking about Misty Day. Zoe brings a spirit back to the living world after he's been dead nearly a century. It's pretty clear the Axeman is alive, as he has a sexual affair with Fiona Goode and indulges in many other sinful activities, even murders someone for their apartment.
She stops a horde of zombies, most of them with a chainsaw, but the final one she simply tells to "be in your nature" and it stops Laveau (a witch perfecting her craft for centuries) right in her tracks. That's power -- Laveau even says, "They got some real power in that witch house now."
That's not it though; don't forget she manages to reattach Spalding's tongue and get the truth about Madison and Fiona; something that Myrtle Snow was never able to accomplish. This could be considered a form of transmutation, one of the seven wonders.
All things considered, it seems that Zoe is becoming more and more powerful as the show continues; it's pretty clear that her powers continue to grow. Personally, I don't think Zoe's rise to the supremacy would be that predictable. I was pretty sure it was Madison, then I thought Misty, but it wasn't until I rewatched the season and looked at everything Zoe's done that I thought, perhaps it will be her.
