Adam didn't flop because he sold out and Daughtry's latest album just passed 1,200,000, the singles did real good on the AC charts but that wasn't enough.

He was actually there, they just didn't ask him to perform.

It does not matter anyway. The people that don't win the show end up being more successful than the actual winner. It has been like that recently.
