I mean, I don't think he said anything wrong. Opinions like that is how the show USED to be. Back in the day you'd ask a celebrity who they liked and they'd give you a straight answer. All that's changed in the last few years, and people suddenly started caring about potentially hurting peoples feelings. Now the usual response is "Oh, they're ALL so talented!".

I know this will seem like a self-drag but I think Adam just does it for attention. Just like he did with the gays a couple weeks ago. I don't think the backlash could have been THAT big and he's already backtracking.

Don't think so at all.. She was probably excited about the first part of the comment; i'd be too If was her (though; not from Adam; someone else ) ; and probably misread the whole tweet... which she said...

She is shy you can tell from the interviews and the mentoring segments ; but when she gets on the stage thats when she gets confident and sing her ass off. So meh.

^He could have ended his original tweet after the second sentence and gotten his point across without going out of his way to shade the other two. It wasn't "wrong" for him to do so since it's just his opinion, but when you put negativity out there you can expect more negative responses.

Honestly? A little bit. I doubt the backlash was anything serious in his replies. Not much worse then he usually gets, he just scrolls. He probably only tweeted because Jessica wasn't getting some hate. Also this isn't even like in the top 20 most ~controversial things he's ever tweeted/said.
