It's really weird. Of course we can't really judge them. But just 2 days. Can he be a son first before a popstar? I'm expecting him to at least grieve for the next 2 weeks and not performing on X-factor. You can release the tribute 1 month later when everyone has moved on. My thoughts aswell. I barely know who he is but releasing a song about yor mom(?) a couple of days after she dies SEEMS like capitalizing. But i see some ppl can't take that someone is thinking out loud.

You guys are acting like the single wasn't meant to be released now and they brought it out because of his mother's death. That just isn't true. His collab with aoki and his scheduling to perform on X factor were confirmed or at least mentioned BEFORE his mother's death.
You wouldn't say Bowie's death just after releasing his album was a publicity stunt, because it wasn't. Not everything an artist does has to be a calculated move ensuring their success.
It's tragic what has happened. I'm not a fan of the song itself, but admire Louis for carrying on with releasing work he is proud of, because life keeps going. His mum would be proud of him and would've supported his actions. That's all that matters really.

Yeah, that was a bit much by me...

I can appreciate other people thinking cancelling the performance would've been more appropriate. So long as they understand his decision is about his mother and not the success of the song. Nothing shameful about it.
