Because when even the French wants it, is has to be good. Or are the Francophones just spinning it, because they want it to be released?
These are also the countries with the best taste in the West. French good taste doesn't need explanation. Belgium wants the food in French quality served in German quantities. We take the good bits of the music/genres in the neighbouring countries, make it even better and serve it in large quantity.
If you wonder where the US is. American office coffee is undrinkable, tasteless, bland by Dutch office coffee standards and the Dutch already joked about themselves on national tv during evening news that Dutch and culinairy can't be combined in a sentence. The Dutch are about practicality, convenience, selling stuff the most efficient way,... that's why they have
walls selling snacks.

I like how she is psychological testing people to see how they respond. That filters quickly the people getting along with her and the people starting to feel unworthy to meet her again.

For me it's simple. Wide Awake music video was released on the day I started a new chapter in my life and left something behind that hold me back for decades behind me. The music video is very fitting, the darker colours, in the maze of the outside world I had to find my spot,... When I was thinking about all the things holding me back, Katy looked back to when she was the girl with the blue guitar, so did I looked back to why I made certain choices. She wasn't wrong about the young girl not knowing fear or any limitations an adult would have, just do it and punch through.
