Actually that's the song that I think is one of the most personal songs in her career.
And it's one of the most strong examples I like to use in regards to her songwriting abilities.
The original demo version of the song was supposed to be a song that represented a breakup and it had totally different lyrics.
Also the song was a lot more upbeat and sounded a bit like Smash Into You.
Bey's version is much more calm and restrained and it's about her relationship with her husband.
How they're always apart and how she longs for him and she misses him.
How when they're on the road how can they restore that connection, or when they're always being in the spotlight, how the media is always around them, ect.
She's singing about their relationship in a way that's a lot more honest than something like Partition or Drunk in Love.
