Britney Spears to perform for the first time in New Zealand
The Princess of Pop known as Britney Spears is set to perform for the first time in New Zealand! She will be performing on May 17th at the Vector Arena in Auckland before performing at the biggest Nightclubs in New Zealand during the next few days.
Tickets on sale on May 10th 2013, starting 40$.
Date: 17 May 2013 at 8:00 PM at Vector Arena.

Rihanna on Ellen; performs and talks about new music!
Rihanna graced Ellen's stage this Monday to perform her new single 'Black Butterflies', along with a reggae segment towards the end of the show including 'Man Down', 'No Love Allowed' and a new song off her album 'Lovin' In The Sun'. Rihanna also debuted a new shaggy, blonde look for the performance. Rihanna also sat down with Ellen to discuss Rihanna's new music and her plans for the era.
On The Single
"Well, the song was produced by Tricky Stewart, whom I've worked with on a couple songs a few years back. I had an idea for the song before we got into the studio; I wanted to create something very different from my past albums. Although this record is still pop, it has heavy alternative rock influences. It was written by me and Stewart in the studio and the song is describing how our demons, our secrets can easily fly away if we open up; like butterflies."
On The Album
"I don't want to reveal the title just yet, but I will say this album is very personal to me, and the name is pretty simple and laid back, like the imagery for the album. I wanted to create a really raw and introspective album where I could feel free to experiment and dabble in many different genres. Without a doubt, this is my riskiest and more experimental work yet. I worked with a lot of rock producers and played with a lot of rock and alternative inspired sounds, which I found refreshing and very inspiring. I would say this is my best work I've made so far."
On Future Plans For The Era
"I definitely want to tour for this album. I'm looking forward to being able to perform all of the new songs on the album for all my fans, I know they'll love it just as much as I do. Me and my team are focusing on creating a really innovative and interactive show for the fans; we don't want just another typical tour. But more details will be coming soon enough. I'm also continuing my fashion designing venture with River Island. I have an upcoming Fall/Winter collection am I designing, I'm very excited about that."
A preview for the upcoming video for Black Butterflies was played at the end of the Ellen episode, and is scheduled to be released Wednesday, May 8th.
Rihanna also had the chance to meet fans outside the Ellen studios who were waiting in line outside for hours to meet the pop star. She graciously signed autographs and took pictures before she had to leave on a flight to New York.

Black Butterflies limited edition CD single giveaway!
After visiting the Ellen show, Rihanna made sure to stop outside the studio and meet her fans. She took pictures and signed many autographs and also handed out special edition Black Butterflies physical CD singles to the fans that waited.
The physical CD single features her single Black Butterflies, a Calvin Harris mix of the song, and the acoustic version of the song. Rihanna and Twitter are teaming up for an online giveaway of the limited edition CD singles, where fans can hash tag #BlackButterflies and reply to Rihanna's tweets for a chance to win a copy. The CD singles are not available for purchase and are only available through Rihanna personally, or through the one week Twitter giveaway.

Fans can now purchase a 5 track digital EP on iTunes of Rihanna's new single, Black Butterflies. The EP features the original song, two remixes, a dance version and an acoustic version of the song. The EP is on sale on the iTunes store exclusively for $1.99.

Selena Kicks Off New MTV Series; On Stage Antics
Summer Nights is our new series where three nights out of each week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and we have an artist perform a set of about ten songs. We block off a street in NYC just for the artist. Each episode is an hour long and towards the end their is a fan Q&A session.
Selena performed her three singles, The Last Time, Come and Get It, and Dreaming. She wore one of her trademark maxi skirts along with a stylish feather ear piece and strappy sandals. Full wardrobe can be seen below. It was mostly an unplugged set. She didn't do much dancing, but given her wardrobe and the whole vibe of the show, that's okay. The show was very warm and inviting.

During the C&GI performance, she made an effort to go out into the crowd and found a guy to dance with. Before she brought him on stage, as she walked through the isle she stuck her hand out for guys to kiss. She actually crawled towards the guy while he was on stage, rolled around, and grasped his chest. The show took a heart warming turn when Selena brought a little girl whose parents died on stage to sing "Crazy" with her. Fitting. Then the show became really fun during "Dreaming" as Selena walked through the isles, throwing glitter on people, dancing with fans and even letting them sing some lines. GREAT way to kick off the season. Props Selena!
