Where's Hakunt to blame it on lack of promotion? ctfu. Britney just isn't cool anymore. Her IG is (iconic) her biggest way to reach the public, and all she comes across as is a dorky mom. Same with her interviews. She constantly tells us how she's boring. Hardly a way to get people interested in you. So when she tries to release things like Make Me and SP, the combination of not being cool and the lack of a proper image and identity leads to a flop.

Honestly I believe Britney could be more successful if she went down the ANTI/Lemonade route. Not the sound. Not even the image. But something... concrete. Something people can associate her with again. She needs a re-invention. It's coming up 20 years of the same thing. I'm not necessarily sick of her doing the same thing but the public obviously is.

This was my immediate issue with the Glory era. Promo is fine, Britney is fine, music quality is good and she seems invested above all. But there's only so many times you can release sexual bops.

It feels a little inauthentic. Like I know she loves sex, but that doesn't mean you have to be sexy all the time. And she's obviously interested in her career again, but that doesn't mean she's bored of doing the same thing.

I really hope the next era is a continuation of a more in-charge Britney and that flows onto the image. Her team don't know how to manage her and her image anymore.

Actually.... Britney is the one behind her image for the most part. She's the one who came up with BOMT's Lolita image. The RS shoot cemented that. Larry tried stopping that cover, remember? I feel like her team ran with what she was doing. Now it doesn't feel that way.

ok i agree with everything but don't discredit the power of promotion. it did wonders for make me (until the video dropped)
