I think it's important to remember how big of a star Kylie is, regardless of the sales of one album. She may not ever again have a smash the size of CGYOOMH, but she will always have enough name recognition to ensure that she'll be releasing music for as long as she wants to. They may not all be blockbusters, but at least we're pretty much guaranteed a steady stream of Kylie jams for as long as she wants to give 'em to us! The success of an album doesn't always signify the quality.

This album is so good. I didn't like it at first but Aphrodite was the first album by her I really got into. The gp are really missing out on a solid album.

Australia's projecting their tall-poppy syndrome at full force upon Kylie with two fake scandals - that the dancers (that were explicitly were told as such) weren't paid for the IWGC music video and that she lip-synched at the Logies (they shouldn't have overwhelmed her clearly live vocal with the backing track).

Beautiful's probably not going forward and IWGC's dead on arrival

The tour's apparently selling decently, which is a relief, seeing as that's all this era has left to stand on

I'm disappointed at her, Why can't she have a couple of A-List collaborations on the album in case her solo singles flop? IMO this could have saved the era. I mean Radio 1 just ignored her for the very first start and Capital FM agreed to playlist ITB but after it flopped they are now refusing to play IWGC. Now it'd be the ideal time to release a collaboration and save the era but since there are no collaborations (except for Beautiful which is being handled by Universal) this era is really dead.

I just needed to get it off my chest. If you go and check every single album being released right now they all have collaborations (Iggy Azalea, JLo, Jason Derulo, Mariah, etc).

Eh, IMO she's only ever had one good collaboration (Where the Wild Roses Grow) where her voice isn't completely overpowered. And on that song, a light voice was needed for the character of Eliza Day. Don't get me wrong, she has a great voice -- it just easily gets overpowered by whoever else she's singing with.

I wish she'd use a lower, more powerful register more often, like she did on Butterfly ("and it mightn't last more than a day...")

It's pretty obvious she wasn't lip-syncing.. also the dancer thing is ridiculous, that's not Kylie's job to pay dancers.

We all knew IWGC would be dead on arrival, is there even any buzz for the video or single?

None of the songs on this album are going to save anything whatsoever. She should just chunk out the Cancel video, actually cancel its single release (to keep it from becoming the worst-performing proper single of her career), and keep the core fanbase interested with Beautiful and side projects like Crystallize and Sexercize until the tour starts in late September.

Honestly (I'm an Enrique's fan and I may seem biased) I think that Beautiful would have been a good choice as a single and it would have done better than ITB and IWGC on the charts.
It's not the best song of their careers and it's not even close to be the best song on their last albums, but I think that it would have worked pretty well.
The Enrique's fan base loves the song and would supported the release.
It debuts into the top 50 on the Australian chart with only the promo from The Voice and without any radio airplay.
As second single it would have been a lot better choice and maybe would have saved the KMO era imo.
Too bad their teams didn't agree on anything about this release.

As good as it is, Sexy Love is basically a re-hash of previous bubblegum Kylie singles. She's gone down that route before and it didn't pay off, and it wouldn't work this time either.

Kudos to her for actually trying something different and putting out a single that's not typical Kylie.

I don't see the need for collabs either, radio would drop her anyway as soon as she releases a solo single, and she can't make duets for eternity.

Even the horrible I'm A Freak (I love Enrique, but this song is ) became a hit and peaked at #4 in the UK and is still at #25 in the last UK single chart (it was released the same day of ITB).

Beautiful would have been at least a top 10 single there imo.
