FINALLY watched the Showtime RH tore in all it's glory - and good lord legend really did that in 2015/2016. What a god damn legend. I watched it with my casual-fan friend who's been low key converted into a real stan, and iconically stans for random tracks like "GMAYL" and "Rebel Heart" - he performed Rebel Heart in China in this Glee club he started when he was in high school, and then he was back last month and made a little return performance. He forced the whole group to sing it with him as the star .

A true gay, but one other hot guy f'd up the second verse lawl.
Anyway the moral of that story is that we were watching it and he couldn't believe that she didn't have a break until after "Devil Pray." It actually looks SO gruelling. How queen did that every night without dying. I for some reason thought that it was like her first lazy tour, but actually not at all. She spends the whole concert running up and down that enormous ass stage. S&S's thrust stage hew.
Anyway, truly legendary. It's a little over-edited, SOOOO many cuts. Like I know it's been discussed and I know ya'll apparently love it, but it's a slight mess. Was good to finally see the "Deeper and Deeper" and "Heartbreak City" performances that queen cut at my Auckland date. What did happen to the dancer she pushes off the stairs? What does he land on? Very artfully cut in the DVD to make it look like he just falls on the stage floor.
Oh and the Detroit bit was a mess, as was the blatant editing of "Like a Virgin" (i think) where it cuts between two bits of footage where she's wearing two outfits? A mess. Also the black and white intro to "Music" was boring, though I get why they did it.
