Apparently leftist groups have blacklisted her as a potential appointment because of her long ties to the Democratic Party economic establishment, but she's been great as Fed Governor (probably the strongest dove on the FOMC), and Sanders/Warren would be wrong to oppose her imho.

She wouldn't dare, that'd be political suicide. And big trade deals won't be able to go through congress until many countries resolve their human rights and pay workers properly. Until then any trade deal would benefit the other countries more. When she called TPP the gold standard, it was still in the fetus stages but it turned out to be too optimistic of a deal and it'd just end up sending the jobs to countries that pay people little to nothing. The Clintons are globalists, that's for sure, but they're not dumb.

It's one of her "private/public positions" issues. Publicly she is against it, but privately she supports it and wants it to pass.

Hillary will tread very carefully as she's going for a second term and she doesn't exactly have the likability of Obama. Flip-flopping on TPP would be career suicide and she'd never do it. I'm sure she'd love a more global economy but it's not what the people need as it'd only benefit countries like China.

Any friend that'd suggest a flip-flop is obviously just a Washington "friend" and that kind of friendship isn't exactly rock hard

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe caused Hillary Clinton a political headache Tuesday night when he said he expects her to reverse her position on a major free trade deal. McAuliffe said in an interview with Politico that he believes she'd flip-flop and support the deal.
"I worry that if we don't do TPP, at some point China's going to break the rules -- but Hillary understands this," he said. "Once the election's over, and we sit down on trade, people understand a couple things we want to fix on it, but going forward, we got to build a global economy."
Pressed on whether Clinton would reverse her position, McAuliffe told Politico: "Yes. Listen, she was in support of it. There were specific things in it she wanted fixed."
Already, Republican nominee Donald Trump is seizing on McAuliffe's remarks as evidence Clinton is willing to flip-flop.
"Just like I have warned from the beginning, Crooked Hillary Clinton will betray you on the TPP," Trump tweeted.

Well we'll see shortly. If Hillary does then hopefully there will be a strong primary challenge to her in 2020.
