This is random but somewhat related to this: I was at a training seminar for our department (we educate children on nutrition; FYI, I work for the government now hunties) and they brought in this cop to train us how to protect ourselves and kids against active shooters and it was a damn mess from the get go. They had us stand and recite the pledge of allegiance, told us that every school teacher should have guns like Israel, and constantly referenced NRA statistics. They told us it was okay to stereotype. Then they showed us clips of Reagan and John Wayne at the end. I was stunned. A lot of us were really upset.
