I always felt WOA being a #4-peaking hit and It Takes Two a #6 one. Don't tell me why
Don't fail OnlyAHitInaly I think the only problem was, as you said, the GP not reacting to Birthday. With WOA she would have had an airplay-driven hit, at least, which would have let her keep the momentum to let LL slay
Yeah I can see WOA smashing pretty much everywhere but we can only wonder. LL would've flopped hard lmao
WOA had the potential to be a "Rather Be" sized hit. A 2 x Platinum US song with amazing international sales. At the bare minimum it would've appeased the radio-stations (if the goldsoundz rumour was true) and performed like Birthday (sorry Sam but WOA should've been the LFN of the era if we're gonna compare it to the TD single run at all).
alas, we'll never truly know. On another note, I'm actually getting somewhat interested in the prospect of a Christmas album.

Can you guys imagine, all the "dark" teasers actually leading up to a "dark" song, and also how fitting Dark Horse would be considering the situation then (Katy being a Dark Horse and slaying Gaga unexpectedly).
I'm also pretty sure PRISM (and Katy generally) will be way more well-received by the critics and ATRL if she did that.

I thought about DH as lead for a bit too. But it doesn't really represent the rest of the album well yaknowwhatimean? Like I think critics might've been harsher because of 'expectations' of a 'darker' album. Besides roar really works as a lead
