I really don't see how Gaga's "Image" that she used for ARTPOP was any worse than anything she had done before.
Plus the music was fine IMO. ARTPOP had a lot of potential hits. DWUW was shaping up to be a top 10 hit. Unfortunately, thats right when the spilt with troy happened and she got all depressed.
Honestly, I think a lot of things went down behind the scenes that we'll probably never know about.
I doubt there's better opportunities for him than working with Gaga
