I’ve never seen anyone as dominant as Serena Williams was during these Olympic Games.
She beat:
Former No.1 and Grand Slam finalist Jelena Jankovic 6-3 6-1
Former No.2 and two-time Grand Slam finalist Vera Zvonareva 6-1 6-0
Former No.1 and Grand Slam finalist Caroline Wozniacki 6-0 6-3
Current No.1 and Grand Slam champion Victoria Azarenka 6-1 6-2
And former No.1 and four-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova 6-0 6-1
Not one of them stood a chance, and most would agree that not many in the history of the sport would’ve done too much better. Her weapons are overwhelmingly powerful and very nearly insurmountable.
I feel lucky to see such tennis in my lifetime.

And what's even better, she managed to go through the entire tournament without threatening to shove the f*cking ball down any of her opponents' throats!

Must have been tempting for her to do so...
I didn't watch the match but credit where due - with those score lines she was a worthy winner of the tournament to say the least.
Usually I would like to see Fed also complete the career golden slam tomorrow - but in this case I will be supporting Murray all the way...
