The thing that's similar in both these situations is DWUW and MR are far superior than Venus and A-Yo.
It's quite clear she was ok with MR being a single and then switched her mind and tried to make it up by performing A-Yo on the Late Late Show. MR is beautiful though and it's clear it deserves to shine as the next single.

Not really complaining here . I've stated multiple times that Gaga releasing A-Yo is fine by me.
Everyone has a difference of opinion and I truly feel like MR is the best song on the album as do many other people. Not just because of it's performance but because it's simply amazing from start to finish.
