I'm glad you liked the imagery, Bloomers! As for the falling apart stuff, I wanted to take the common theme of a relationship falling apart and twist it a bit. So I wrote as if the guy was like a literal mannequin who was losing his charms (Arms, eyes, legs, etc.)

I had this really weird ass dream last night. Well, it wasn't a dream but more of a conversation. I could only hear their voices. This girl who works at a police station was on the phone with someone and she was reassuring him that everything would be fine and they'd be on their way. Then suddenly the guy was like: "She deserved it". And then I woke up. It freaked me out the entire day. His voice keeps replaying in my head. He sounds like Steven Tyler from Aerosmith
