Technically all of Taylor's songs are about memories, but titling the new album 1989, the year she was born, means much more memories, I think it also means more diversity. Songs about family on new album are my first reaction.

Something about Slay It All makes me think of Tegan & Sara's Heartthrob. Remember when She said it was one of Her favorite albums? I feel like it was a strong reference point for 1989... Both sleek synthpop albums absolutely drowning in hooks.
